Another concept for a painting.

A new concept for a painting. Still contemplating the color scheme. Im debating whether I want to have it be one color (like its shown here) or to put color in the monsters too.

Here are more montypes. These are done with oil-based ink on a paper called Nideggen.

Another monotype using water-based ink on Rives BFK. I'll explain the process I'm using to make them. First, I take a piece of plexiglass (I will refer to it as a plate) and apply a thin layer of ink to it (just enough to make out the image underneath the plate). Next, I scratch away lines and ares to get subtractive transparent marks. Then, I add more ink onto the plate in areas that I want to be the deepest blacks. This layering of ink generates three levels of tone. Finally, I pull the paper out of a bath of water and put it and the plate through a press.

My first monotype since sophomore year of high school, four years ago. Many more to come. Three of the best prints are due October 26 for Intro to Print. Water-based ink on Rives BFK.

Another linoleum relief print from September. It is based on a drawing from my sketchbook of odd creatures/monsters. Approx. 32 in. x 40 in.

A linoleum relief print i did in the end of August, beginning of September. Approx. 9 in. x 14 in.

Word Composition Project

This is a second project assigned in my Typography class. We were given a list of words and had to express that words meaning using the Futura typeface in lowercase.
